Guest Service Associate I:
Primary Function
Support the mission of The Gardens by providing a variety of guest services and by maintaining the cleanliness and attractiveness of the facility and the condition of the ice surfaces.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English intelligibly.
- Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and operate cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow and carry out written procedures and verbal directions.
- Ability to practice consistently positive customer service, exhibiting respect and courtesy toward all.
- Ability to work effectively with other staff in team environment.
Special Requirements
To be assigned as a skate guard, must be proficiently skilled in ice skating
Front Desk - GSA:
Primary Function
Provide information and services to guests and callers and perform data entry for various programs in order to achieve the mission and goals of The Gardens Ice House.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, write, and speak English intelligibly.
- Ability to verbally communicate information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to write legibly.
- Skilled in practicing consistently positive customer service.
- Ability to follow and carry out directions from supervisor.
- Ability to work effectively with other staff in team environment.
- Basic skills in using a computer and ability to learn to accurately record and retrieve information
- Ability to learn to use sales registers accurately and proficiently.
- Ability to learn to use copy machine and facsimile machine correctly and efficiently.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and act upon company policies and procedures, especially with guests/user groups.
- Thorough knowledge of programs offered by The Gardens Ice House.
- Basic knowledge of math and account procedures
Guest Services Supervisor:
Primary Function
Assume lead responsibility for providing guest services and for insuring that Guest Services Associates provide guest services at a level consistent with the operating standards for the facility.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, write, and speak English intelligibly.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to learn to perform procedural tasks according to written standards.
- Knowledge of and ability to practice consistently positive customer service.
- Ability to lead staff to carry out directions from supervisor and management.
- Ability to work effectively with other staff in team environment.
- Ability to learn to operate and maintain ice-cleaning and ice-making equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions, facility procedures, and safety standards.
- Skilled in ice skating at a level to enable minimal guest services as required.
