The Gardens Sports Limited Learn-To-Skate USA program, Directed by Greg Maddalone, was designed to provide a fun, safe, learning atmosphere for students of all ages.

ADULT HOCKEY

The Gardens Ice House is home to many of the region's premiere hockey leagues.  The USA Hockey sanctions Adult League is the 8th largest adult league in the country!  Click the link below for more information and join now!

About Us

Located in the Fairland Regional Park near Laurel, Maryland, two miles from Interstate 95, The Gardens Ice House, at 150,000 sq/ft , is the largest skating facility of it's kind in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are open every day of the year. Some of the highlights include:
 

  • Five Rinks: 1 Olympic size and 2 NHL Size.  Logsdon Pavilion includes retractable walls for 'pond' skating. Patrick Rink and Exhibition Center boasts more than 850-person seating capacity, which allows up to 1,500 with standing areas, Whitey's Pond, an outdoor seasonal rink, and a year-round training rink called The Ice Den. 
     

  • Private rooms are designed to accommodate private parties, corporate meetings, company get-togethers etc.
     

  • Independent full gym (Wellness for Life), pro shop (East Coast Hockey Supply), and café (Ice Breakers Café) with trained staff.
     

  • Home to five youth hockey programs, several youth leagues as well as numerous high school teams, with the Maryland Scholastic High School Championship - an annual tradition. TGIH is also home to the Gardens Figure Skating Club.

  • The National Capitol Curling Center opened in 2002 and is separately operated by the Potomac Curling Club. The Curling Center is located inside The Gardens Ice House and is operated from September through April.
